The Villa Depolo is located in downtown Belgrade, in its old part, which has been called the Professors’ Colony since the 1930s. It is in Ljubomir Stojanovic Street, the street where many important persons had lived, persons of Serbian culture, scholars and University professors, among others the great Milutin Milankovic, as well as Nadezda Petrovic. It was built way back in 1928. It was fully renovated and transformed into a modern hostel in January 2015 when the part of a big yard was made into a spacious parking lot.
The Hostel is located in this tranquil, isolated back street, but at the same time it is at a distance of no more than 30m away from the main road in Belgrade, The Despot Stefan’s Boulevard. It is also in the vicinity of the Jevremovac Botanical Garden and the Pionir Sports Center. All the most interesting tourist sights are at a walking distance from this spot. It will take you less than half an hour to reach Skadarlija, Kalemegdan, The Main Basilica, Knez Mihailova Street, The Park of Tasmajdan and the main city square on foot. Thanks to its location near Despot Stefan’s Boulevard, the Hostel is well connected via public transport with other parts of the city like New Belgrade, Belgrade Arena, the Sava and the Danube Quays, Ada Ciganlija etc.
The hostel and the apartments are in the Depolo family villa. The Depolo family has had a great influence on the lifestyle of Belgrade and therefore our family wishes and is obliged to carry on its legacy. Since we are hoteliers and caterers we think that this is the most appropriate way to do it. We will accomodate you in comfortable, well-equipped rooms and apartments at favorable prices wishing you to feel at home. Every room is named after a dear member of our family. You will be pleasantly surprised by our Internet café at the top of the villa with big, open balconies.
